I grew up with art and practicing art. I always thought that I would be an artist of some kind. My story took many twists and turns from a shy, overly sensitive child to hippie during the 70s, a student of art and history throughout the mid-70s through the mid 80s, a college teacher until 1999, and now a collage artist as I approach 70. My work is analog, old-fashioned cut-and-paste collage using surreal elements and odd juxtapositions. I live to bring order to chaos as much as I love creating chaos with my work. My work can be seen on IG as #desertlocacollageart. I also sell vintage jewelry. Most of the jewelry comes from my huge thrifted collection as I begin downsizing.
